According to Главком: On June 3, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held separate conversations with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. These discussions, which come amid ongoing Russian aggression, covered several critical topics:
- preparations for upcoming negotiations
- weapons deliveries
- diplomatic efforts
- sanctions against the Russian Federation
- the consequences of Russian attacks that have resulted in civilian casualties
During his call with Keir Starmer, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the latest sanctions package aimed at disrupting Russian cryptocurrency schemes.
'It is important that Ukraine is not alone when Russia carries out such terrorist strikes'
he stated. The recent wave of attacks has left 23 people dead and 151 wounded.
Separately, Zelenskyy convened a special meeting focused on securing additional supply routes for air defense systems and their missiles. The delays in fulfilling a contract to acquire American Patriot surface-to-air missile systems were also addressed. In his conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, the president thanked him for Norway's support and condolences following the mass casualties from a large-scale Russian military assault.
