Zelensky in Italy and attack on energy: main events of July 9
According to glavcom.ua: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited Rome for a meeting with the 'coalition of the willing', where he also met with the Pope. In July, a meeting of the 'coalition of the willing' will take place in the Italian capital to discuss the need for peace.
Also, in recent days, reports have emerged about attacks by Russians in Kherson and Sumy regions, Russia's recognition of its guilt for the MH17 plane tragedy, and large-scale searches at customs offices in three regions to prevent attempts to undermine Ukraine's national security.
In the village of Pravdino in the Kherson region, a one-year-old Dmytryk was killed as a result of a drone strike. Terrorists attacked a house in the village of Pravdino during the day with a strike drone, where the child was with his great-grandmother.
Russian terrorists attacked energy facilities in the Sumy region. For security reasons, details and consequences of the attack are not disclosed to avoid correcting the enemy's further actions.
On July 9, the European Court of Human Rights recognized Russia as responsible for the 2014 tragedy that claimed 298 lives. The families of the victims of the MH17 disaster consider this decision an important milestone in their 11-year quest for justice.
The Security Service of Ukraine, the Office of the Prosecutor General, the State Bureau of Investigation, the National Police, and the Bureau of Economic Security conducted large-scale searches at customs in the Odesa, Volyn, and Chernivtsi regions.
