Zelensky awarded posthumously with the Order of Freedom the teenagers killed by the Russians in occupied Berdyansk

The President honored the Heroes

According to glavcom.ua: The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed a decree awarding the Order of Freedom posthumously to Tigran Oganesyan and Nikita Hanganova, who were killed by Russian invaders on June 24, 2023, in temporarily occupied Berdyansk. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to the President's Office.

After the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia and the occupation of Berdyansk, the boys stayed at home. Tigran Oganesyan actively expressed his pro-Ukrainian stance, which led to repeated pressure from the occupying forces: he was kidnapped from the house where he lived with his grandmother, tortured and abused, including electric shocks and mock executions, and was arrested by representatives of the occupying authorities.

The corruption of the Heroes is to defend Ukraine from aggressors and to be ready to pay with their lives for its independence. By posthumously awarding these two Heroes, President Zelensky emphasized their bravery and sacrifice in the fight for the freedom of their native land.
