How to obtain a land plot for combatants?

Combatants (CB), as well as individuals with a similar status, have a priority right to receive land plots for free from state or municipal authorities. Such plots can be used for various purposes, including gardening, construction, and commercial activities. However, in 2025, there are restrictions related to the state of war.

To receive free land, CB must submit an application to the relevant state or local authorities, indicating the purpose and area of the plot. The application must also state the intended use, the approximate size of the area, and include the necessary documents.

Consideration – up to 30 days. If there is no response, one can go to court.

Maximum areas and registration process

There are some restrictions on the maximum areas of land plots, which are up to 0.12 hectares for gardening, up to 2.0 hectares for personal farming, and various areas for residential construction. After receiving the land, it is necessary to order project documentation for land management and undergo the registration process.

Starting from November 2022, a ban on the free transfer of land from state and municipal ownership has been introduced, including for participants in military actions.

Although there are restrictions, the possibility of obtaining land remains, but with compliance with new requirements established during the war.
