The winter of 2025-2026 is expected to have unusually high temperatures, according to the preliminary forecast from meteorologists. The average winter temperature may exceed the climatic norm by 1.5-2 degrees. December 2025 will be warm, with a temperature anomaly of +2 to +5 degrees, indicating that the month will resemble late autumn rather than classic winter.
According to forecasts, the average monthly temperature in December will exceed the climatic norm by approximately two degrees. In most regions, temperatures are expected to range from +2 to +8 degrees, while in southern Ukraine it could reach +10 to +12 degrees. The total monthly precipitation norm will be at the level of 80-100%. The first days of December promise to be mostly dry with fogs, but from December 6 to 10, brief night frosts may occur.
Natalia Goleniya, a meteorologist, noted that the average winter temperature may significantly exceed multi-year averages.
