Winter in Ukraine will begin on December 1: the forecaster spoke about the temperature and rains
Weather forecast for the first day of winter
Winter in Ukraine will begin on December 1, 2023, according to the forecast of meteorologist Natalia Didenko. She noted that the first day of winter will be characterized by autumn or spring-like weather. The daytime temperature is expected to range from +4 to +7 degrees, while in the south of the country it will be +8 to +12 degrees. In Kyiv, the temperature will fluctuate between +5 and +6 degrees.
Expectations regarding weather conditions
Didenko also reported that rains are more likely in the south, in the central regions, as well as in the Carpathians, Transcarpathia, and Precarpathia. She emphasized that no significant changes in weather conditions are expected in the coming days, but a cold snap may occur at the end of the week.
The changing weather conditions in Ukraine at the beginning of winter may affect various spheres of life, including agriculture and the energy sector. High temperatures and rains may delay winter work in the agricultural sector, while the expected cold spell at the end of the week may require additional measures to prepare for frosts.
Monitoring weather forecasts will remain important for the population and businesses in the context of changing weather.
