Russian actor Nikolayev added to the list of threats to Ukraine's security: reasons for the decision

According to glavcom.ua: The National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting decided at a meeting on October 1 to add Russian actor Valery Nikolayev to the list of individuals who pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine. According to information from the regulator's press service, the decision was made after the actor's public performances, which contained anti-Ukrainian theses and propaganda aimed at supporting Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.

The actor, who is known to Ukrainians for a number of roles in film and theater, is accused of publicly supporting the criminal actions of the aggressor state and justifying the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. Nikolayev's statements have a significant influence on public opinion and are used to promote the ideology of the 'Russian world' and support the invader's aggressive actions.

In particular, the National Council noted that the actor is actively engaged in propaganda television projects, where he justifies the actions of the Russian authorities and denies Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. It has also been confirmed that Nikolayev illegally traveled to temporarily occupied territories, where he supported the occupation.
