NATO Urged to Defend Ukraine’s Children from Ballistic Terror, Says Foreign Minister
Andrii Sybiha’s Reaction to the Attack on Kyiv
According to МЗС: Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has spoken out following a devastating Russian missile strike on Kyiv, which occurred just ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara. According to Sybiha, more than 20 ballistic missiles were launched during the assault, resulting in at least 11 deaths and dozens of injuries-including children. Residential apartment buildings were hit, and rescue teams pulled a family of three-a mother, father, and child-from the rubble, all deceased. Search and rescue operations are still underway.
Describing the night as 'horrific,' Sybiha called it 'one of the most brutal attacks using dozens of ballistic missiles.' He stressed that Russian terrorists deliberately targeted sleeping civilians, aiming to inflict maximum casualties. This latest barrage underscores the daily dangers faced by Ukrainian families, even as diplomatic meetings take place abroad.

The minister highlighted that Ukraine is the only country in the world facing weekly ballistic attacks. 'For us, time is measured in human lives,' he added, underscoring the critical urgency of all air defense decisions.
