IDPs veterans will receive housing vouchers worth 2 million UAH: program conditions

The government has launched a new support program for veterans who have been forced to leave their homes. A housing voucher worth 2 million UAH provides the opportunity to obtain a certificate for the purchase of real estate, investments in new construction, or mortgage registration. This state program is designed for veterans with IDP status who have relocated from temporarily occupied territories and will take effect on December 1.

A necessary condition is the issued status and the absence of other state support or housing in controlled territory. An application for obtaining a voucher can be submitted through the Diia application in the services section for veterans.

Program participants also have the opportunity to combine vouchers if many veterans from one family are supported by this program. Funds will be received cashless to ensure transparency and targeted use. In general, this initiative is implemented based on the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property and in partnership with the Eurasia Foundation, the Eastern Europe Foundation, and the World Bank.

The program will help military veterans who find themselves in difficult life situations due to military events to receive housing support from the state and restore their lives after difficult events.
