In Zhytomyr, a Volkswagen driver ran over a prosecutor at a crosswalk: the official died

According to glavcom.ua: Fatal road traffic accidents occurred in Zhytomyr and Kyiv, resulting in the loss of human lives.

The team of the Zhytomyr Regional Prosecutor's Office expresses sincere condolences to the relatives and friends regarding the untimely death and bows its head in deep sorrow.

As a result of the traffic accident in Zhytomyr, a prosecutor died, while in Kyiv, the victim was a Toyota driver. These tragedies serve as another reminder of the importance of adhering to traffic rules.

From January to June 2025, 1,367 people died in Ukraine from road traffic accidents, including 69 children, and 13,895 people were injured. The number of accidents during this period has hardly changed compared to the previous year - 11,194 cases.
