The M-06 Kyiv-Chop Road Has Been Restored After an Emergency
According to glavcom.ua: The traffic on the M-06 Kyiv-Chop road has been fully restored. This was reported by 'Hromadske' citing the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
Due to the emergency situation that occurred in the Zhytomyr region, traffic on the M-06 Kyiv-Chop section was limited. Traffic has been restored in both directions - across all lanes in each direction. Passage is ensured.
'Be careful and cautious, follow the traffic rules!', - emphasized the agency.
It is worth noting that on the evening of July 2, a powerful explosion occurred on the outskirts of Zhytomyr, resulting in casualties, injuries, and destroyed buildings. Two industrial facilities. The incident took place around 18:00 on the section of the international Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Berezina. The explosion caused massive destruction: houses, cars were damaged, and there are many injured.
Currently, 24 people are known to be injured and two are confirmed dead. Among the injured are four children. The causes of the explosion are currently being investigated.
Following the emergency situation in the Zhytomyr region and the powerful explosion that resulted in casualties and extensive destruction, the M-06 Kyiv-Chop road has been fully restored. Authorities urge drivers to be attentive and follow traffic rules.
