Zhytomyr region under fire for two days: a child has died, homes have been damaged

According to ДСНС: The day before, as a result of shelling in the Zhytomyr region, three people were injured, including two children. Medical assistance was provided to two children born in 2012 and 2014, and one child born in 2021, however, one of them died in the hospital. In addition, during the shelling, a residential building and an enterprise caught fire, while a store, a utility building, and private homes were also damaged.

Currently, rescuers are working at the scene, and the State Emergency Service sappers are inspecting the area in case there are explosive objects that may be there. However, their work is complicated by constant air raid alerts.

The events of the last few days in the Zhytomyr region testify to the uniqueness of the situation in Ukraine. The hot situation continues to deepen, without fading hopes for a quicker end to the conflict.
