The Armed Forces of Ukraine received already 1 million FPV drones: how the new supply mechanisms work
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to implement innovative solutions to supply the Armed Forces of the country. Thanks to new framework agreements, drone manufacturers can participate in deliveries, and through the Prozorro system, transparent bidding takes place. In addition, the digital marketplace DOT-Chain Defence has been launched to simplify the selection and delivery of drones for military units. The Ministry of Defense plans to increase the pace of drone supplies and provide servicemen with the necessary equipment.
Ukraine's Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that since the beginning of 2025, more than 1 million FPV drones have been supplied for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. New approaches to drone supply help provide servicemen faster and more efficiently, the minister reported.
"Our priority is to develop mechanisms to provide warriors with the necessary drones," noted Denys Shmyhal. The Defense Procurement Agency is working to increase the pace of drone supplies and ensure the necessary equipment for task fulfillment.
The scheme of embezzlement of defense funds revealed
The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Bureau of Economic Security, uncovered and eliminated a scheme for embezzling funds intended for the procurement of drones. The head of the financial and economic service of one of the Armed Forces brigades misappropriated money allocated for unmanned aerial complexes for use in the Kramatorsk direction.
As part of the work on supplying drones to military units, a scheme for embezzling defense funds was also uncovered.
