The Armed Forces of Ukraine regained several settlements in Sumy region

According to glavcom.ua: According to Ivan Shevtsov, the head of the press service of the 15th mobile border detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Ukrainian forces have the opportunity to drive the Russian occupiers out of the Sumy region. Currently, enemy forces have already been halted at this section of the front.

Today we have every chance to reclaim all the enemy-occupied territories of Sumy. The Defense Forces are actively working on this. There are already several liberated settlements. We are pulling up reserves in this direction and working to destroy the enemy, said Shevtsov.

It is also reported that the conditions in this section of the front are complicated, slowing down the movement of Ukrainian troops. All settlements in the combat zone in Sumy have suffered destruction and have been wiped out.

Fighting on the Border Territory

As of today, fighting continues in the village of Kindratovka on the border territory of Sumy, where the occupiers have destroyed all the houses. Military officials stated that shifting combat operations onto enemy territory is a necessity to prevent the destruction of villages. The Russian occupation army is using the tactics of small assault groups on the borders of Yunakivka and Khotyn communities, but this is not yielding the expected results.

According to representatives of the Ukrainian troops, the situation in Sumy remains tense, but there are now good grounds to believe that Ukrainian forces can cope with the occupation and liberate the specified territory. The conduct of active operations and the liberation of settlements are evidence of the high combat readiness of the Ukrainian military.
