The Ukrainian team has completed the Deaflympics: 32 golds and 8 world records

According to glavcom.ua: The Ukrainian team finished their performance at the XXV Summer Deaflympics in Tokyo with impressive results. Our athletes demonstrated high and professional preparation, winning 32 gold, 39 silver, and 29 bronze medals. In addition, they set 8 world records and 12 tournament records.

The Ukrainian team won a gold medal in the volleyball final, defeating the Italian team with a score of 3:0. Our athletes also stood on the podium in bowling, where they won bronze in team events. Swimmers amazed everyone with their achievements, earning 8 gold, 13 silver, and 2 bronze medals. In basketball, the Ukrainian team also showcased a high level of play, winning a silver medal, only losing to the team from the USA.

Our swimmers impressed the audience and opponents, showing remarkable results. Ilya Sultanov set both a world record and a Deaflympic record in the 50m freestyle event. By entering the top 10 overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, the Ukrainian team demonstrated their high athletic level and fighting spirit.
