Hero of Ukraine Serhiy Tabala turns 30: story of a volunteer from Maidan

According to Велика українська енциклопедія: Today, December 16, marks the 30th anniversary of the birth of the hero of Ukraine – Serhiy Oleksandrovych Tabala. He was known as a soldier, volunteer, a participant in the Revolution of Dignity and the Russian-Ukrainian war, and was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine in 2016.

Falling in love with the national idea at the age of 15, Tabala studied history and philosophy. He actively participated in the events of the Revolution of Dignity on Maidan in 2013 and became a leader of one of the units of the public movement 'Right Sector'.

'I fight for my country and am ready to give my life for it,' said Serhiy Oleksandrovych Tabala.

In January 2014, he participated in clashes with the enemies of Ukraine and then gave his life on the altar of national glory during the war in Donbas. Tabala was buried in Sumy.
