Sinha Sobolev signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine: serves in unmanned systems
Mykhailo, the 18-year-old son of TV presenter Marychka Padalko and politician Yehor Sobolev, joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine of his own accord. This news was announced by Yehor Sobolev on his Facebook page.
Yehor Sobolev shared that his son has always been interested in history and football, and later decided to study mathematics and physics. However, after participating in youth military training and engaging in robotics, Mykhailo decided to join the army.
“I was then in charge of a drone platoon and shared my experience of the drone warfare we were just beginning to master. At the age of 17, Miha assembled his first drone, donated it to our unit, got a job in drone manufacturing, and enrolled at Mohylianka to study 'Robotics',” Sobolev recounted.
Yehor Sobolev also reported that his son has already carried out many reconnaissance missions on aircraft, completed his contract with the Armed Forces, and now serves in the unmanned systems forces. He is proud of and supports his son, but also noted that his wife, Marychka, has it hard as she worries about both of their sons.
Additionally, renowned Ukrainian journalist Dmytro Gordon mentioned that due to safety threats to his family, three sons and four daughters remain abroad. He is currently refraining from commenting on his sons' readiness to join the army under the current situation in Ukraine.
According to the information provided, Mykhailo Sobolev, the son of TV presenter Marychka Padalko and politician Yehor Sobolev, voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine after a series of activities and research in various fields, from football to robotics.
