According to Главком: On June 28, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released its frontline assessment, marking the 1,586th day of the full-scale invasion. According to the report, since the start of the day, the enemy launched one missile strike using eight missiles, carried out 51 airstrikes dropping 147 guided bombs, deployed 5,366 kamikaze drones, and conducted 1,763 shelling attacks on civilian settlements and Ukrainian military positions.

Frontline Situation

A total of 197 combat engagements occurred on June 28. On the Pokrovsk axis specifically, 26 Russian occupiers were eliminated and 14 were wounded. The following enemy assets were destroyed during the fighting:

  • one fuel depot;
  • three units of automotive equipment;
  • three units of special equipment;
  • two artillery systems;
  • five units of automotive equipment;
  • two units of special equipment;
  • 125 enemy shelters.

On the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, two combat clashes were recorded. The enemy carried out 68 shelling attacks, including five using multiple launch rocket systems. On the South-Slobozhanskyi axis, Russian forces assaulted Ukrainian positions three times near Starytsia, Izbystke, and Vilcha. On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy attacked twice toward Podoly and Novoplatonivka.

On the Lyman axis, invaders launched 15 attacks, while on the Sloviansk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled 24 enemy attempts to advance. On the Kostiantynivka axis, Ukrainian troops fought off 11 enemy assaults. On the Pokrovsk axis, the enemy conducted 24 attacks, and on the Oleksandrivka axis, three. On the Huliaipole axis, 23 occupier assaults took place.

In summary, the frontline situation remains tense, with the enemy continuing active operations across multiple directions while suffering significant losses.

The intensity of hostilities is clearly rising, as the enemy increasingly relies on kamikaze drones and aerial strikes, signaling strategic shifts in their combat tactics. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces continue to repel attacks and inflict damage on the invaders, underscoring their resilience and readiness for prolonged warfare.
