Pokrovsk Front Sees 215 Clashes in a Day: The Most Intense Fighting Yet

According to Главком: On June 5, the frontline recorded 215 combat engagements. The invading forces launched 1 missile strike and 64 aerial attacks, dropping 188 guided bombs. The day’s operations involved 5,833 kamikaze drones, and a total of 2,160 artillery strikes targeted Ukrainian positions and populated areas.

Frontline Situation

The Pokrovsk axis witnessed the fiercest battles. Ukrainian forces eliminated 46 occupiers and wounded 14 others. Additionally, they destroyed:

  • 5 enemy vehicles
  • 2 pieces of specialized enemy equipment
  • 1 ammunition depot

Damages included 3 artillery systems, 4 vehicles, and 28 personnel shelters. One enemy drone control post was also struck. Throughout the day, 279 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were either destroyed or suppressed.

On the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, there were 2 skirmishes. The enemy launched 1 airstrike, dropped 1 guided bomb, and carried out 54 shelling attacks. On the South Slobozhanskyi axis, the adversary attacked Ukrainian positions near Starytsia, Okhrimivka, and Kolodyazne five times. On the Kupiansk axis, enemy forces twice assaulted positions toward Kupiansk.

The Lyman axis remained tense, with Ukrainian troops repelling 20 enemy attempts to advance. On the Sloviansk axis, defense forces halted 7 incursion attempts. On the Kramatorsk axis, the enemy twice tried to push defenders back near Nykyforivka and Chasiv Yar. In the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukrainian forces beat back 11 enemy assaults.

On the Pokrovsk axis, the enemy launched 23 attacks, while on the Oleksandrivka axis, defenders stopped 10 assaults. The Huliaipole axis saw 28 enemy attacks, and on the Orikhiv axis, the enemy stormed positions near Stepove once. On the Dnipro axis, an attack toward the Antonivskyi Bridge was neutralized.

This marks the 1,563rd day of Russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine.

The frontline remains under heavy pressure, with combat intensity especially high around Pokrovsk. The rising number of assaults and drone deployments highlights the enemy’s activity and strategic ambitions. As a result, how events unfold next could significantly shape the broader regional situation and affect troop morale on both sides, as the conflict continues into another day.
