According to glavcom.ua: The Security Service of Ukraine published photos and videos of the prisoner exchange on July 4. According to information from the publication 'Glavkom', the exchange took place as a result of the work of the Unified Center for Coordination of the Search and Release of Prisoners at the SBU.

“Today's exchange is the result of the work of the Unified Center for Coordination of the Search and Release of Prisoners at the SBU, the Coordinating Staff on the Treatment of Military Prisoners, and other authorized structures that fulfilled the order of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky,” the statement said.

Transportation of the freed by train and prisoner exchange

After the meeting of the Ukrainian defenders at the border, the Unified Center at the SBU, together with 'Ukrzaliznytsia', provided the movement of the freed defenders to rehabilitation places for the first time using railway transport.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine hopes for the full implementation of agreements on humanitarian issues reached at the meeting in Istanbul.

Recently, Ukraine carried out a prisoner exchange with Russia, as a result of which Ukrainian defenders and civilians were released. Most of the prisoners had been in Russia since 2022.

As seen from the published material, the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a prisoner exchange organized as a result of joint work with authorized structures and supported by the President of Ukraine. The freed defenders had the opportunity to join the rehabilitation process through railway transport, and there was also hope for the implementation of humanitarian agreements reached at international negotiations.
