Roma lost to Viktoria Plzen: Dovbyk couldn't save the team from collapse

According to glavcom.ua: The matches of the third matchday of the Europa League 2025/2026 have concluded, featuring surprises and spectacular comebacks. The loudest shock occurred in Rome, where 'Roma' fell to 'Viktoria Plzen' with a score of 1:2. Artem Dovbyk scored only once against the opponent from a penalty, while his team struggled in attack, leading to defeat. The goalkeeper of 'Viktoria Plzen', Martin Jedlicka, made seven saves and even provided an assist, helping his team score the first goal. Ukrainian forward Dovbyk managed only one shot on target from a long distance and could not finish the match, being substituted in the 74th minute.
Significant were also the victory of 'PAOK' over 'Lille' in an away match (4:4, but a goal was disallowed due to offside) and the defeat of 'Aston Villa' by 'Go Ahead Eagles' (1:2). All these events affected the placement of teams in the standings, with Ukraine's national teams represented by Oleksandr Zinchenko and Artem Dovbyk sitting in 17th and 23rd places respectively, while unseeded teams at the conclusion of the subgroup.
As a result of the third matchday of the Europa League 2025/2026, the results of several matches became known, among which stands out the victory of 'Viktoria Plzen' over 'Roma'. Currently, the teams from Ukraine are not showing very confident performances and occupy quite low positions in the standings.
