What is the average salary in Kyiv at the end of 2025
In October 2025, the average salary in Kyiv reached 40,738 UAH. This is 627 UAH, or 1.5%, more than in September. In comparison, the average figure for Ukraine during the same period was 26,913 UAH, which is 290 UAH more than the previous month. BusinessUA reports on this .
According to the main statistics department in the city of Kyiv, the capital continues to significantly outpace the national level of wages. The difference between the average salary in Kyiv and the average across the country exceeds 13,000 UAH, which is explained by the concentration of high-income sectors in the capital.
Average salary in Kyiv: where the most is paid
The highest incomes in the capital are traditionally recorded in the field of information and telecommunications, where the average salary is 76,908 UAH, while the figure for Ukraine is 65,047 UAH.
In second place is the mining industry and quarry development with an average salary of 68,510 UAH. In the country, this industry pays nearly twice as much.
Closing the top three is financial and insurance activities, where the average salary in Kyiv is 60,980 UAH.
Salaries in the following sectors also remain above the average level:
public administration and defense - 49,274 UAH;
provision of other services - 48,030 UAH;
electricity, gas and steam supply - 47,746 UAH;
manufacturing industry - 46,870 UAH;
industry - 46,750 UAH;
professional, scientific and technical activities - 42,567 UAH.
Average salary in Kyiv: who earns the least
The lowest salaries in the capital are recorded in education. Educators earn an average of 22,513 UAH. This sphere remains the least paid throughout Ukraine, where the average salary is 16,984 UAH.
Sectors with low wage levels in Kyiv also include:
construction - 22,947 UAH;
temporary accommodation and food service - 23,128 UAH;
water supply, sewage and waste management - 25,302 UAH;
health care - 25,974 UAH.
