Which professions are needed by employers: top 10 vacancies from the Employment Service
The State Employment Service has published a rating of professions that employers in Ukraine are most often looking for in 2025. Overall, 309,000 vacancies were registered throughout the year, helping to employ 238,000 individuals. This was reported on the Employment Service website.
Which professions are in highest demand in Ukraine
Since the beginning of 2025, employers have been actively looking for workers for labor and service professions, reflecting the needs of the economy in wartime.
The highest demand is for auxiliary workers: 15,000 requests. These workers are needed for auxiliary tasks in production, construction, or warehouses – from transporting goods to cleaning. In second place are drivers of motor vehicles with 13,000 requests. The third position is held by sellers of food products – 13,000 vacancies.

Interestingly, the demand for auxiliary workers exceeds the number of those willing to work (18,000 resumes), while for drivers, the offer is lower (10,600 resumes). In the trade sector (sellers) and cooks, there are also more job seekers than vacancies, indicating competition. On the other hand, rare professions, such as bandurist, champagne maker, or greenhouse manager, appear only with single requests, indicating their niche status.
