It's hard to find a child from the 90s who hasn't watched the rather strange yet interesting series about teenagers studying in a closed school.

The Argentine series 'Rebelde Way', which first aired in 2002, became a real sensation not only in its home country but also far beyond its borders. Neither Ukrainians nor Europeans (the series gathered a solid fan base there) nor even the producers expected such a response.

Ukrainian viewers, like millions of others around the world, literally fell in love with this story about teenagers studying in an elite school, facing their first loves, conflicts, searching for themselves, and the injustices of the adult world.

The series masterfully combined drama, romance, social issues, and music. The main characters not only lived out their stories on screen but also became part of a real musical group, Erreway, which conquered the charts of Latin America, Spain, and even Israel. In Ukraine, the series was broadcast on several TV channels and met with tremendous success among youth. Today, as the younger generation returns to such series, it may seem quite funny, but back then, this series was a true rebellion.

The actors who played the main roles became idols for a whole generation. Their characters were relatable and understandable to teenagers — with all their joys, pains, dreams, and challenges. Today many of them continue their creative careers, acting in series, movies, or working in music or theater. Below we describe the brightest stars of 'Rebelde Way' and their roles.

'Rebelde Way' became a launching pad for many young actors who later became icons of the Argentine show business. The cast was perfectly selected — each hero had his individuality, style, and dramatic arc. Thanks to the actors' talent, the characters came alive, emotional, and real.

Camila Bordonaba — Marisa Pia Spirito

Camila Bordonaba played one of the most charismatic roles — the rebel Marisa Pia Spirito. Her character is independent, sharp-tongued, sometimes cynical, but at the same time a very sensitive girl who struggles with loneliness and seeks true love. She has complicated relations with her mother, who pays more attention to her career growth than to her daughter.

Camila Bordonaba — Marisa Pia Spirito

Marisa is one of the most vibrant and memorable heroines of the series, largely thanks to Camila's strong acting. Her image became a symbol of inner protest, self-discovery, and struggle against the system. In real life, Camila also remained outside the norms: after finishing shooting, she gradually stepped away from the media spotlight and focused on theatrical projects, charity, and art.

Benjamín Rojas — Pablo Bustamante

Benjamín Rojas embodied the image of Pablo Bustamante — a boy from a wealthy family who tries to find his own way, independent of his MP father's pressure. At first glance — a typical rich kid, but soon the viewer discovers the depth of his personality: a sincere heart, a desire to be heard, and the ability for true love.

Pablo is one of the central characters of the series, and his relationship with Marisa became the leitmotif of many episodes. Romantic, explosive, tragic — these relationships captivated viewers from the first episodes.

After the series ended, Benjamín actively starred in movies and TV shows, was a member of Erreway, and had a stable music career. He remains in the public eye, continuing to work in film and television.

Luisana Lopilato — Mia Colucci

Luisana Lopilato played the role of Mia Colucci — a girl from a wealthy family, who at first glance seems to be a spoiled beauty, but in reality is gentle, deep, and romantic. Her outward confidence is merely a shield against the loss of her mother, disappointments in love, and an ongoing struggle with loneliness.

Mia is a typical 'girl-next-door', one of the most popular in school. But thanks to Lopilato's performance, the image became not cliche but alive and sincere. Viewers empathized with her, rejoiced in her successes, and saddened by her disappointments.

After 'Rebelde Way', Luisana became one of Argentina's most successful actresses. She starred in films, advertising campaigns, married Canadian singer Michael Bublé and continues a career in the international show business.

Felipe Colombo — Manuel Aguirre

Felipe Colombo played Manuel Aguirre — a mysterious newcomer from Mexico, who enters the school with one goal — to take revenge for his father's death. His character is complex and multilayered: initially tough and withdrawn, then emotional, open to love, creativity, and friendship.

Manuel is one of the most beloved characters among female viewers. His story of transformation, his relationship with Mia, and his musical passion made Felipe's hero unforgettable.

After the series, Colombo continued his music career, acted in theater, and worked on television. He also actively participates in cultural initiatives and remains a popular figure in Latin America.

Angeles Balbiani — Felicitas Mitre

Angeles Balbiani portrayed Felicitas Mitre — a charming, kind, but naive girl who often becomes a victim of manipulation by more experienced classmates. Her character embodies those girls who seek friendship and recognition, sometimes losing themselves for the sake of someone else's attachment.

Felicitas is not part of the main four, yet her storyline was significant, showing how easily a young person can be broken, but also how important it is to learn to be oneself.

After finishing filming, Angeles moved into media — becoming a TV host, journalist, and blogger. She still participates in public discussions and is a public figure in Argentina.

Jasmin Becker Varela — Luhán Linares

Jasmin Becker Varela played Luhán Linares — a girl with a complicated fate, an orphan who hides her feelings behind a wall of coldness. Her character is silent, intelligent, and independent. She is one of the few who does not crave popularity but values sincerity and true friendship above all.

Thanks to Jasmin's performance, Luhán became a symbol of strength and resilience, a favorite among viewers who appreciate intellect, depth, and restraint.

The actress continued her acting career after the series, appeared in several television projects, and actively engaged in music and theater. Today she leads a serene life, occasionally appearing in the public space.

Mikaela Vasquez — Pilar Donofrio

Mikaela Vasquez played the role of Pilar Donofrio, a girl who constantly tries to prove her own worth in the eyes of others. She strives to be part of the popular circle, but due to her insecurity and excessive emotionality often becomes the object of ridicule. Her character evokes sympathy — Pilar genuinely seeks friendship, recognition, and love, but often chooses the wrong ways to achieve it.

Pilar's image became one of the most ambiguous in the series. At first, she seems negative, but soon viewers see her vulnerability. Mikaela Vasquez did an excellent job portraying the character's transformation from resentment to inner growth.

After 'Rebelde Way', Mikaela continued her career in film and series, became part of Argentina's television life, and participated in shows and entertainment programs. Her Instagram today is a mix of professional and personal: filming, travels, family, style.

Pablo Eredia — Blas Eredia

Pablo Eredia played Blas Eredía, a young teacher at the 'Elite Way School', who at first glance seems to be a sensitive and progressive mentor. But with each episode, his image becomes more complex: Blas turns out to be manipulative and even dangerous, especially in the context of relationships with female students.

His character became one of the most discussed — evoking conflicting emotions. This is a case where a hero seems to be on the side of good, but soon turns out to be something else entirely. Pablo Eredia brilliantly conveyed all the nuances of such a complex character: from charisma to inner anxiety, from false kindness to manipulative coldness.

After the project, the actor actively worked in theater, television, and music. His versatility has allowed him to remain in demand and develop himself in various creative directions.

Guillermo Santa Cruz — Nicolas Provensa

Guillermo Santa Cruz embodied the image of Nicolás Provenza — a modest and kind guy who cannot always stand up for himself, but is always ready to support others. Nicolás is one of those characters who are hard not to love: sincere, intelligent, without unnecessary pomp.

His relationships with Felicitas and other characters show that true kindness does not demand a reward. Guillermo played the role with warmth and inner light, adding balance to the series between rebellious emotions and moral support.

After finishing 'Rebelde Way', the actor continued his creative activities but also made himself known in social spheres — engaging in youth programs, teaching acting, and appearing on the radio.

Jorge Majo — Tomas Escurra

Jorge Majo played Tomás Escurra, a boy with a difficult character and an unorthodox approach to life. His character often finds himself in comical or dramatic situations due to his impulsiveness. Tomás doesn't always act wisely, but his sincerity and loyalty to his friends make him an important element of the plot.

Majo successfully combined drama and humor in his performance, making the character bright and memorable. Later, the actor became a part of the band Rolabogan — a musical project that emerged in the wake of 'Rebelde Way's' success.

After filming ended, Jorge actively worked in series, hosted TV shows, and also realized himself in the field of production.

Katrin Fulop — Sonia Ray

Katrin Fulop is one of the few adult actresses in the youth series who left a strong impression on viewers just as much as the young stars. Her role as Sonia Ray, Marisa's mother, was complex and profound. She is a woman who builds a career, is fascinated by her own status, yet genuinely loves her daughter, although she does not always know how to show it.

Sonia is an example of a woman who lives in constant conflict between profession and personal life. Her attempts to find a balance, complicated relationships with Marisa, struggles for personal happiness — all these elements made her character multilayered.

Fulop is a recognized actress in Latin America, long before 'Rebelde Way', she starred in many telenovelas. After participating in the series, her popularity only increased. She actively acts, hosts programs, and remains a favorite among viewers of many generations.
