Former Deputy Prime Minister Charged: Details of the Embezzlement Case

According to САП: Over the past week, Ukrainian society has received important news about the return of assets and compensation of funds to well-known foundations. Special attention has been directed towards investigations that have led to the uncovering of corruption schemes and brought results in judicial decisions. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office actively intervened in the process and provided law enforcement agencies with crucial information.

In particular, the investigation of Operation 'Midas' uncovered a criminal organization in the energy sector and led to legal actions against former officials. An important milestone was the court ruling regarding the imprisonment of the head of a state enterprise for 5 years.

Interestingly, the NABU and SAP have already submitted a motion to detain the former Deputy Prime Minister, suspected of illegal enrichment.
