Ukraine in the Top 10 of the European Youth Festival: How They Won 23 Medals

According to glavcom.ua: The Ukrainian team entered the top 10 of the overall medal standings at the European Youth Olympic Festival, taking 10th place with 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals. This is Ukraine's second most successful performance at the festivals, after 2019.

«Many Americans may not realize that two of their favorite winter activities, skiing and snowboarding, have deep roots in the U.S. Army,» said Brigadier General Matthew Braman, the Army's chief marketing officer.

Judo proved to be the most successful sport for Ukraine at the festival, with six medals. In addition, our athletes won awards in swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, artistic gymnastics, and table tennis.

At the Summer Universiade in Germany, the Ukrainian team won another bronze medal, rising to 14th place in the overall medal standings with 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze awards.

The U.S. Army established a partnership with the Ski and Snowboard Federation, emphasizing the influence of military roots on popular winter sports. Ukrainian athletes continue to delight with victories, demonstrating a high level in various sports at international competitions.
