As a result of the drone strike on the territory of Russia, the Ryazan Oil Refinery suffered significant damage, causing it to operate at less than half of its capacity. Data from three sources in the oil industry indicate that two key primary processing units, CDU-3 and CDU-4, were disabled after the attack, reports Reuters.
It is noted that currently, the enterprise, part of 'Rosneft', has halted the operation of units with capacities of 8,600 and 11,400 tons per day, respectively. Only one unit - CDU-6, which can process 23,200 tons of oil per day, remains operational, accounting for about 48% of the total design capacity of the Ryazan Oil Refinery.
Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery Also Affected
In addition, drone attacks damaged another facility - the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery, which is also part of 'Rosneft'. According to reports, the operation of this refinery has been completely halted since August 2. Previously, in Russia, the operation of the 'Central Asia-Center' gas pipeline was also discontinued due to explosions.
As a result of the attack on the Ryazan Oil Refinery and the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery, they sustained significant damage and were forced to suspend part of their operations. The operation of the 'Central Asia-Center' gas pipeline has also been suspended in Russia.
