In Britain, directly from Parliament, MP Oleksii Honcharenko spoke about the main intrigue of Ukrainian politics — who will head the President's Office after Andrii Yermak's resignation. He stated that four candidates are currently being considered, and the fight for the position resembles a casting for a key role.

Candidates for the Head of the Office of the President

According to the MP, President Zelensky is choosing among several types. The following are being considered:

  • Colonel Palisa — currently the Deputy Head of the President's Office, commander of the 93rd Cold Yar Brigade. His appointment would mean a strengthening of the military bloc;
  • Kyrylo Budanov — a popular figure and potential future presidential candidate, but with no political experience;
  • Denys Shmyhal — the current Minister of Defense and former Prime Minister. The option of a “quiet office” that works without scandals;
  • Mykhailo Fedorov — currently the most likely contender. His appointment could mean a political strengthening of the President's Office and preparation for elections.

What is Happening on the International Track

While Zelensky is working in Paris, part of the Ukrainian negotiating group is in the USA. In Florida, a lengthy meeting took place between Ukrainian and American representatives, where they discussed:

  • a security agreement between Ukraine and the USA;
  • the US position on NATO;
  • potential security guarantees;
  • territorial issues.

Negotiations on the American side were conducted by Senator Marco Rubio, Vytkov, and Jared Kushner. The Ukrainian delegation was led by Umerov. Honcharenko emphasized that the issue of elections was not raised there.

After the negotiations, the American part of the delegation flies to Moscow for the continuation of the so-called “shuttle diplomacy”.

The Ukrainian parliament will resume work this week: the budget is expected to be reviewed, as well as the first political consequences of Yermak's resignation.

Earlier, we reported that Honcharenko stated that Zelensky allegedly threatened him publicly.
