Until 2026 without sharp increases: which utility tariffs will remain fixed
From 2026, there will be no sharp increase in utility payments in Ukraine thanks to the government's decision. Tariffs for electricity, water, and gas remain fixed for a certain period, aimed at reducing the financial pressure on citizens during the war.

Electricity: tariffs and benefits
Until April 30, 2026, the preferential price for electricity for heating will be UAH 2.64 per kilowatt-hour. The fixed tariff for electricity for the population is UAH 4.32 per kilowatt-hour, ensuring stability for consumers during this difficult time.

Water: increase postponed
On December 23, the government appealed to the NKRECP with a request not to raise tariffs for water. This decision is also aimed at supporting the population in wartime and maintaining financial stability.

Gas: gas price vs delivery price
Until March 31, 2026, the cost of a cubic meter of gas for households will be UAH 7.96. Prices for gas from other suppliers vary from UAH 7.79 to UAH 9.99 per cubic meter. From January 1, 2026, the gas distribution tariff for non-household consumers will rise to UAH 2.3 per cubic meter, and from April 1, 2026, to UAH 2.72 per cubic meter. Overall, by spring, the service for entrepreneurs will increase in price by an average of 60.5%.
“During the war, additional financial pressure on citizens is unacceptable.”
Yulia Svyrydenko
These government measures reflect the desire to support the population in wartime when the economic situation remains complicated. Fixed utility tariffs can help maintain the financial stability of households and reduce the risk of social tensions that may arise due to rising utility costs. However, it will be important to monitor further government decisions and their impact on the energy and utility market in the future.
