IMF has published a forecast for the dollar exchange rate until 2030: when it will reach 50 hryvnias

The forecast for the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia until 2030 has sparked great interest among experts and citizens. The International Monetary Fund published data indicating that by 2029, the dollar might reach 50 hryvnias. The October report of the World Economic Outlook (WEO) for 2025 forecasts the stability of the hryvnia and gradual growth of the dollar.

Updated forecasts also anticipate growth in the Ukrainian economy in the coming years, with assumptions regarding the end of the war with Russia by the end of 2025. IMF experts noted that the hryvnia exchange rate will remain stable due to the measures of the National Bank and international support, however, moderate devaluation and fluctuations in the exchange rate can be expected in the coming year.
