On the evening of October 22, during another attack on Kyiv, two enemy Shahed-type drones fell into high-rise buildings in the Desnyansky and Obolonsky districts of the capital. Kyiv police explosives experts arrived at the scene, seized the unexploded drones, and transported them to a range for further disposal. Details of the operation were reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
Two kamikaze drones fell into residential buildings
According to the police, the debris of the kamikaze drones hit two high-rise buildings in the capital. One of them crashed into an apartment, while the other got stuck on a balcony. Both drones did not detonate, but posed a real threat to the residents.
Explosives experts, rescuers, and investigative-operational groups arrived at the scene. The area around the buildings was quickly cordoned off, and people were temporarily evacuated to avoid possible consequences.
“Experts removed the explosive parts of the drones, rendered them safe, and then placed them in special blast-proof containers for transportation to the range for destruction,” the Kyiv police reported.

The attack on Kyiv on October 22 was one of several in recent weeks. Russian forces once again used Shahed-type kamikaze drones aimed at critical infrastructure facilities. Some of them were shot down by air defense forces, but debris and unexploded devices fell into residential areas.
