French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced a peacekeeping mission plan in Ukraine during a video conference of the Coalition of the Willing.
Starmer called the project 'refined' and 'designed for the long term.'
France and the United Kingdom intend to send a joint operational grouping of up to 50,000 soldiers and officers to Ukraine.
The plan could be implemented 'within hours' after signing a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
It is expected that peacekeepers will serve as a barrier against the resumption of hostilities after the ceasefire. There are also plans to expand the grouping by involving other countries.

Additionally, Macron and Putin held a conversation for the first time in three years.
