Країни G7+ виділяють значні кошти для зміцнення енергетичної інфраструктури України: огляд міжнародної допомоги.

G7+ Nations Convene to Coordinate Support for Ukraine

A G7+ coordination meeting was held on January 23, 2026, to address Ukraine's urgent needs for stabilizing its energy system following Russian attacks. The Ukrainian delegation, led by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, included Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, and Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration Oleksii Kubra. During the meeting, Ukrainian officials detailed the energy situation across various cities and regions and outlined critical requirements for restoring the country's power infrastructure. This meeting underscores the ongoing international effort to help Ukraine withstand targeted assaults on its civilian energy network.

Substantial Aid Pledged by Partner Nations

Partner countries have provided significant material and financial assistance to Ukraine. The specific aid already allocated includes:

  • Over 6,000 units of energy equipment.
  • The European Union supplied 447 generators.
  • Italy committed 10 million euros.
  • Germany provided 60 million euros and an equipment package, including 33 cogeneration units and 15 mobile hybrid generators.
  • The United Kingdom allocated approximately 23 million euros.
  • The United States granted 400 million dollars for humanitarian support to the population.
  • France delivered over 100 generators.
  • Lithuania announced the transfer of 90 generators.
  • Japan supplied 40 large and medium-sized generators, 60 small and medium transformers, two combined heat and power plants, and other equipment.
  • From Poland, the first generators purchased with 5 million zloty from a public fundraiser have already been dispatched to Ukraine, along with approximately 400 generators and heaters from the state reserve.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko invited meeting participants to visit Ukraine to witness firsthand the consequences of Russian strikes and their impact on daily life. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that preventing the production of Russian missiles is more effective and less costly than rebuilding Ukraine's energy system after their attacks.

This meeting marked a crucial step in securing support for Ukraine during a critical period.

The G7+ format meeting demonstrates international solidarity with Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict and the aftermath of Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure. The aid provided by partners is critically important for restoring the power grid, which directly impacts the lives of Ukrainians. The importance of this support is underscored by statements from Ukrainian leadership on the necessity of not only rebuilding but also preventing further destruction.
