A fire is raging at the site of the shelling, there are casualties, and four individuals were hospitalized with acute stress reactions.
As local media outlets report, Russians targeted the city's critical infrastructure. It is noted that local heating plants also came under fire.
It is worth noting that Russian troops used a modernized guided aerial bomb (GAB) for the first time on the territory of Poltava district at a distance of about 120 km.
The previous use of similar weaponry was recorded on October 18 in the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region. Experts believe this indicates the use of hybrid weaponry with a range of up to 200 km.
The Russian side has modernized its guided aerial bombs by equipping them with a jet engine, significantly increasing their range of impact. For effective counteraction, it is crucial to destroy not only the bombs themselves but also their carriers, emphasized military expert Ihor Romanenko.
