In the case of the former head of 'Ukrenergo' Volodymyr Kudrytskyi and Ihor Hrynkevych, charges have been brought, but the defenders assert that there are no grounds for the accusations. The lawyers emphasize that the state has not suffered any losses and the case has the appearance of political persecution. Moreover, participants in the court proceedings stress that the bank that issued the bank guarantee conducted appropriate checks, and that 'Ukrenergo' received funds from the contractor for the completed work. Thus, they believe that the accusations are baseless.
The law enforcement agencies accused Kudrytskyi and Hrynkevych of the illegal appropriation of state enterprise funds through tenders for the reconstruction of substation fences. Kudrytskyi was placed under a preventive measure in the form of arrest, but he has already paid a bail of 13.7 million hryvnias.
All presented facts only reinforce the defenders' opinion that the accusations are unfounded and have a political nature.
