According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), strikes by the Ukrainian forces on the Belgorod Reservoir dam have resulted in increased water levels in the Vovcha and Siverskyi Donets rivers. This complicates the crossing of these water bodies for Russian troops operating in the area.

ISW states that a spokesperson for one of the Ukrainian brigades reported that strikes on the Belgorod Reservoir dam have raised water levels in the Vovcha and Siverskyi Donets rivers, hindering the crossing of these waterways by the occupiers.

Additionally, Russian forces continue their offensive actions in the northern Sumy and Kharkiv regions, attempting to advance. The Russian military is using special units, thermal protective cloaks, and tents to shield against Ukrainian drones, including heavy 'bomber' drones of the 'Koshchiy' type. The Ukrainian Armed Forces confirm an increase in the number of Russian drones in the combat zone.

As a result of strikes on the reservoir dam and offensive operations in the northern regions, the situation in Eastern Ukraine remains tense, and the difficulties posed by the waterways may provide an additional advantage for Ukrainian forces in the conflict.
