The 79th Cannes Film Festival, taking place in France, has become a significant event for Ukrainian host Kateryna Osadcha, who attended to take part in a charity initiative. This marks the 21st time Osadcha has attended the festival in Cannes, and for the second consecutive year, she is hosting a Ukrainian charity event as part of the program. Her first day at the festival began with this event, where she served as the host.

On the red carpet, Osadcha posed in a dress from the Ukrainian brand Balykina Brand, choosing a model from its wedding collection. The dress she showcased is priced at 184,800 hryvnias. For another day of the festival, she selected a different dress from the same brand, costing around 64,000 hryvnias. A similar dress on the brand's website is listed at nearly 77,000 hryvnias.
On May 19, Kateryna Osadcha shared updates about fundraising efforts for a new event at the festival. As part of the festival program, she also attended the screening of Pedro Almodóvar's film 'Bitter Christmas' (Amarga Navidad), whose plot follows a woman coping with the grief of losing her mother and traveling to the island of Lanzarote with a friend.
Notably, the festival opened on May 12, marked by American actress Jane Fonda. She walked the red carpet in a black dress from the brand Gucci.
