A man has been convicted in Kharkiv for collaborating with the occupiers. During the occupation, he worked for the occupation administration, organizing the procurement of timber for the Russian army. After the liberation, he tried to escape punishment but was arrested in January 2023.
The court sentenced the man to 6 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property for collaboration during the occupation. The prosecutors of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office supported the charges against him in court.
The public prosecution in court was supported by prosecutors from the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.
This case is just one of many being considered in Ukraine in connection with collaboration with the occupiers during the war in Donbas. Courts continue to issue verdicts in similar cases to ensure law and order and justice in the country.
