Russia attacked Ukraine with spontaneous bombardment
On the night of October 22, the Russian Federation carried out a combined strike on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine using strike drones and air and ground-launched missiles. This was reported by 'Glavkom' with reference to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In total, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 28 rockets and 405 drones of various types:
- 405 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, 'Herbera';
- 11 ballistic missiles 'Iskander-M'/KN-23;
- nine cruise missiles 'Iskander-K';
- four aeroballistic missiles X-47M2 'Dagger';
- four guided aviation missiles X-59/69.
According to preliminary data, as of 12:30, air defense has shot down/suppressed 349 aerial targets:
- 333 enemy UAVs of the Shahed type, 'Herbera' (drones of other types);
- eight cruise missiles 'Iskander-K';
- six ballistic missiles 'Iskander-M'/KN-23;
- two guided aviation missiles X-59/69.
Other attacks and consequences
Currently, direct hits from 12 rockets and 55 strike UAVs have been recorded at 26 locations, and downed drones at 19 locations. Additionally, 17 UAVs did not reach their targets.
We remind you that throughout the night, Russian invaders were striking at the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. Currently, emergency power outages have been introduced in most regions of Ukraine. They will be lifted after the stabilization of the situation in the energy system.
