Employees of the DBR together with the UVVB of the State Border Guard Service detained and announced suspicion against the border post inspector who unlawfully supported corruption, receiving a bribe of 5 thousand US dollars for 'help' in being appointed to service.
The law enforcement officer agreed to 'help', but immediately informed that such a 'service' would cost 5 thousand US dollars. For this money, he promised to 'place a word' before the leadership of the group and guarantee service in the desired location. At the same time, the inspector 'forgot' to inform that mobilization to border units is no different from mobilization to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is absolutely free of charge. So the defendant only provided general recommendations on the paperwork and waited for his acquaintance to be mobilized lawfully, simultaneously instructing him to hand over the promised amount.
The inspector was detained 'red-handed' while receiving 5 thousand US dollars. He is now suspected of abuse of power, which provides for up to 5 years of imprisonment under Ukrainian law.
As a result of a joint operation of the DBR and the UVVB of the State Border Guard Service, an inspector who supported corruption and tried to illegally enrich himself at the expense of future service benefits was detained. He now faces significant responsibility for violating the law.
