MVD Service Centers: A Look Back at 2026 Operations

Ukraine's Interior Minister, Ihor Klymenko, has released the 2026 performance figures for the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) service centers. Since the start of the year, these centers have delivered more than 2.3 million services. A major focus was vehicle registration, with the number of such transactions exceeding the one-million mark. Additionally, service center specialists administered over 680,000 driving tests for prospective drivers and issued more than 350,000 driver's licenses.

Digital Expansion and Mobile Response Units

Citizens can now access essential services online through the Driver's Office portal and the Diia app. Ihor Klymenko highlighted the push toward digital transformation, stating:

“At the same time, we are steadily advancing our digital services. Basic offerings are already available online—through the Driver’s Office and in the Diia app. We are constantly working to broaden the range of digital services to make them even more convenient for the public.” – Ihor Klymenko

Mobile units from the MVD service centers are actively deployed in frontline and remote communities, ensuring residents can still access necessary services. These teams also respond to sites of Russian strikes, where individuals whose documents were destroyed in the attacks can receive free replacements on the spot, as well as scrap damaged vehicles. Ihor Klymenko remarked:

“Even under the most difficult conditions, people must be confident that essential government services remain accessible. That is what we work toward every day.” – Ihor Klymenko

The expansion of MVD service centers and the integration of digital tools reflect the Ukrainian government’s commitment to simplifying access to public services, especially amid ongoing military operations. Mobile units providing services in remote regions and areas hit by shelling demonstrate adaptability and a readiness to respond to citizens' needs in challenging circumstances, which is crucial for maintaining social stability across the country.

In addition to the impressive milestones achieved by the MVD service centers, the recent launch of an online payment hub for vehicle registration further simplifies the process for citizens. This initiative is part of the broader digital transformation strategy aimed at enhancing accessibility and convenience in public services, ensuring that all citizens can efficiently manage their vehicle-related transactions.
