The government opened the opportunity for communities to directly receive 100 million euros from the European Investment Bank for restoring social and critical infrastructure affected by Russian aggression.
Transparency and effectiveness in the use of resources
These funds will be allocated under the control of the Ukraine Facility financial instrument, which will ensure integrity and effectiveness in their use. They will be used for the repair of schools, kindergartens, hospitals, restoration of housing and communal facilities, creation of barrier-free spaces, and modernization of heating systems.
Vice Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba noted that this is a 'direct investment in the recovery and resilience of Ukrainian communities' and also stated that all necessary tools for initiating project implementation are already in place.
Ukraine on the path to the EU
The Ukraine Facility is a key financial instrument supported by the European Union for Ukraine, aimed at enhancing resilience, recovery, and modernization of the country on its path to EU membership. The second tranche of 100 million euros will allow Ukrainian communities to move to the active phase of recovery after the first tranche received in August 2024.
With the help of transparent and effective financing tools, Ukrainian communities will have the opportunity to actively restore their infrastructure and improve the quality of life for residents, contributing to the overall development of the country.
