The tragic news of the death of 26-year-old fixer Anton Bondarenko at the front in Ukraine became known thanks to a report from TF1 Info. This young man collaborated with French journalists from TF1 and LCI during their visits to our country. Bondarenko began working as a fixer in February 2022, serving as a guide, translator, and assistant to foreign colleagues. But later he decided to join the Ukrainian armed forces and heroically died defending his country from Russian aggression.
The Director of the All-Ukrainian Educational and Scientific Center for Shevchenko Studies at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Bohdana Sakhno, noted that Bondarenko went missing on September 15 while performing a combat mission in the Kharkiv direction. 'Recently, a DNA test confirmed - Anton has died,' the post reads.
Anton Bondarenko, known by the call sign Bandera, held positions as a soldier in the National Guard of Ukraine. Now his colleagues and loved ones are preparing to say goodbye to the hero. According to the Institute of Mass Information, he became the 119th media worker to lose his life due to the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine.
This news served as yet another reminder of the sacrifice of patriots who stand to defend the country from invaders. Anton Bondarenko gave his life for the struggle for freedom and independence of Ukraine.
