Kharkiv Oblast is expanding the mandatory evacuation zone
The authorities of Kharkiv Region have decided to expand the mandatory evacuation of families with children from the Kupiansk district. In particular, families with children will be evacuated from 27 settlements of the Velykoburlutska community, six settlements of the Vilkhivka community, and seven settlements of the Shevchenkivska community. A total of 601 children are planned to be transported - this is 409 families.
“Earlier, military sources reported that infantry groups of Russian troops are daily infiltrating Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast under civilian cover. Ukrainian troops warn of a threat to the civilian population and urge people to evacuate.”
This decision was made due to the deterioration of the security situation in the Kupiansk direction. Furthermore, in Kharkiv Oblast, there are also plans to expand the mandatory evacuation area for families with children in the Velykoburlutsk direction.
Need for evacuation in other regions
Additionally, in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, over 200,000 people also require evacuation. These are residents of dangerous zones where the situation may worsen.
In connection with the worsening situation in eastern Ukraine, the authorities of Kharkiv Oblast have decided to expand the mandatory evacuation zone to protect the civilian population from potential threats.
