Naftogaz Shuts Down GASUA Chatbot for Meter Readings

Нафтогаз припинив роботу чат-бота GASUA для зняття показань лічильників газу.

Chatbot Discontinued and New Options for Submitting Meter Data

Ukraine's Naftogaz has discontinued its GASUA chatbot, which customers previously used to report gas meter readings. In its place, the company now offers alternative methods, including a new mobile app called Kub. Users can also submit readings through their personal account on the gas.ua website by clicking the 'Submit Reading' button, or via the gas distribution network operator's site at my.grmu.com.ua. Additionally, readings can be provided by calling the contact center at 0 800 303 104.

Paying for Gas Through the Kub App

Customers who choose to pay for gas via the Kub app should note that card payments incur a 1% fee on the transaction amount. However, the company has also introduced a new payment method called 'My Bank', which carries a 0% fee.

“We believe that gas utility payments should be convenient and take minimal time. That's why we created the modern Kub app,” stated representatives from Naftogaz of Ukraine's Gas Supply Company.

The gas tariff remains unchanged at 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter. Customers can check current service conditions and bank fees directly during payment, as the 'list of banks is gradually expanding,' according to Naftogaz.

The retirement of the GASUA chatbot and the launch of the Kub mobile app reflect Naftogaz's push to digitize customer service processes. With these new alternatives for submitting readings, the company aims to simplify user interactions and boost convenience. At the same time, keeping the gas tariff steady amid a shifting market may signal stability in Naftogaz's pricing policy.

As Naftogaz shifts towards more digital solutions, it's essential to stay informed about other changes in utility tariffs that may impact consumers. Recently, the preferential electricity tariff for Ukrainians was removed, reflecting broader trends in the energy sector. Understanding these developments can help customers navigate their utility expenses more effectively.
