The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the report published by the European Commission confirms the country's confident progress on the path to joining the European Union. In particular, he emphasized that Ukraine is ready to open three negotiation clusters, including the rule of law, economic freedoms, and green policy.
'Ukraine is confidently moving towards EU membership and is ready to open clusters 1, 2, and 6. This is the best evaluation result to date - proof that even while defending against Russia's full-scale aggression, Ukraine continues reforms,' Zelensky emphasized.
Additionally, the head of the Ukrainian state urged the European Union to take decisive action to eliminate artificial barriers on Ukraine's path to closer ties with the EU. At the same time, Zelensky stressed that Ukraine will continue working to strengthen common European values and ensure security on the continent.
The European Commission's report highlights Ukraine's positive progress on the path to European integration, and Zelensky called for decisive actions to support Ukraine's path to the EU.
