Suspect Apprehended in Kharkiv
A 55-year-old man has been detained in Kharkiv for a violent assault on a soldier from a Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCC and SP). The incident occurred on the morning of April 6th. As a mobile unit from the Industrial District TCC and SP was conducting a document check, the individual attempted to evade inspection and fled. During his escape, he threw two training grenades and fired two shots from an air pistol at the servicemen.
While fleeing, the assailant stabbed one of the soldiers in the abdomen. The wounded soldier was hospitalized and is receiving necessary medical care. The suspect's identity was established within three hours. Investigators have opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which carries a potential prison sentence of five to twelve years.
