At the fields of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, a meeting of foreign ministers and high-ranking officials from Europe and the Indo-Pacific region took place, where a joint readiness to confront the common challenges facing these regions was declared.
'We in Europe and the Indo-Pacific region face common challenges in areas such as maritime security, cybersecurity, hybrid threats, economic security, as well as climate change and geopolitical uncertainty, which is exacerbated in Europe by war,'- the participants stated in a joint statement. The states emphasized the importance of cooperation to achieve sustainable economic growth, support peace, security, and stability.
'Given that peace, security, and resilience in the Indo-Pacific region and Europe are becoming increasingly interconnected, it is important for us to continue our cooperation on these common challenges. It is in our mutual interest to promote sustainable economic growth and prosperity, to support peace, security, and stability, and to strengthen the international order based on the Charter of the United Nations and international law,'- added the foreign ministers.
