Data has emerged about border crossings into Russia in 2023, involving individuals linked to the business circle of Timur Mindich. This concerns flights from Moscow to Tel Aviv and Dubai after the start of the full-scale war. This was stated by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
These are additional facts to the previously published investigation about the synthetic diamond production business.
Mindichgate: Flights from Moscow After 2022
According to the published data, between January 1 and September 18, 2023, Russian businessman Andrey Zhuravlyov flew twice from Moscow's Domodedovo airport. In the investigation, he is referred to as the brother-in-law of Timur Mindich.
During one of the trips to Tel Aviv, Mindich's business partner Teymuras Khikhinashvili was flying with Zhuravlyov, who was previously linked to the company New Diamond Technology in Russia.
Also, in 2023, Zhuravlyov and Khikhinashvili flew from Moscow to Dubai. It is in the UAE that the company Mailor Diamonds DMCC is registered, which the video associates with international diamond operations.
Diamond Business and the Russian Connection
The previous investigation covered the activities of the Ukrainian laboratory Alcor Diamond in Kyiv and the establishment of the Russian company New Diamond Technology near St. Petersburg in 2014.
According to the information presented in the video:
-
The beneficiary of the offshore structure Mineral Asset Corporation was Timur Mindich
-
The partner was Teymuras Khikhinashvili
-
In 2024, Mindich formally exited the business.
Earlier, Mindich claimed to have severed ties with Russian partners back in 2019-2020.
Yaroslav Zheleznyak emphasizes that the existence of joint flights in 2023 casts doubt on the complete severance of business contacts. At the same time, no judicial decisions regarding these facts have been published yet.
Previously, Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated that despite a new wave of discussions about possible elections, there is currently no ready legislative framework for their conduct in the parliament.
