In the Dniprovsky direction, an increase in the number of Russian assault actions by 55% compared to last week has been recorded. This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by spokesman of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn.
According to him, the rise in the activity of the occupants is observed throughout the island zone of the Dnipro River delta - from the southern islands of Zabich and Kozulynskyi to the Antonivskyi railway bridge. It is noteworthy that combat clashes have spread to islands where assaults were previously quite rare.
In addition to the increase in the number of assaults, the spokesman reported a rise in the enemy's use of FPV drones in the Dniprovsky direction by 10-15%. Every day, Ukrainian defenders record approximately 220-250 enemy drones.
'The number of airstrikes carried out by the enemy, in particular, uncontrolled aerial missiles, has increased. Every day we literally have five to seven strikes there', - added the representative of the Southern Defense Forces.
This activation of Russian actions in the Dniprovsky direction indicates an attempt by the occupants to increase pressure on Ukrainian positions in the strategically important delta area of the Dnipro, where every island is significant for further control over the region.
